 In vitro fertilisation (IVF) and Related Treatment

Treatment fees include nurse discussion, all ultrasound scans, sedation for egg recovery, ultrasound guided embryo transfer, pregnancy scan or review consultation (if within 3 months of end of treatment).

Treatment fees do not include the cost of drugs for stimulation, pre-treatment tests, embryo freezing and storage, and HFEA fee £104.50 . The average cost of drugs in 2007 was £1,600.  There will be an additional charge where donor sperm is used.

How to Pay

Fees for consultations and individual ultrasound scans (not part of a treatment package), HyCoSy, semen analysis, semen freezing, blood tests etc. that are performed are payable on the same day they are undertaken. A receipted invoice will then be sent out for your records.

Any treatment cycles and drugs will be billed in advance of the cycle and only on receipt of both payment and any consents that are required will the drugs be despatched and the treatment schedule sent to you.

You can pay by cheque, cash or credit/debit card (a 1.5% fee is charged on credit card payments).

Cancellation Policy

If, on the advice of the medical team, it is necessary for your treatment to be cancelled, the following fees will be refunded and charged.

The total amount credited minus the cancellation fee can either be credited to the next cycle of treatment or a refund cheque is issued.

* We are not permitted to accept returned drugs.  We therefore cannot refund any money for drugs once dispensed.

This fee schedule becomes effective 1 June 2008 and supersedes all previous fee schedules.  Prices may be subject to change without notice.
